FEED 101 is our breastfeeding class. This class helps new and pregnant moms with their feeding relationship with baby. Offered from 6-8 on the 3rd Thursday every other month. FEED 101 is provided by a grant, there is no cost to attend! Register to guarantee your spot.
Parents of young children are faced with big decisions. This class will help parents navigating the issues and controversies of the early years in a calm, non judgmental, evidence based forum.
Moms come together to share and hear birth stories (without the scary drama) and stories of motherhood. This event is for all moms. It doesn't matter where or how you gave birth. We celebrate face to face friendships, resilience, mentoring, learning, growing in the journey. No cost. Held the last Thursday of each month.
This class will offer education on the different types of diapers to use while cloth diapering. We will discuss wash routines, outside resources for cleaning/sanitation of diapers, and where to purchase diapers and products. We will also talk about the "do's and not to do's" of cloth diapering and products not to use. It will be helpful to bring your washer model number with you to set a wash routine. Class should last about 2 hours with a question and answer period at the end.
We encourage everyone to join us to Meet the Midwife and tour the birth center. This is a FREE event where you can ask questions, tour the birth center, and of course, meet us! Held the first Saturday of each month. Teams include one expectant mom and her support person(s). Only 1 ticket is needed per team.
Our Birth 101 class teaches the physiology of birth for mom & baby, stages of labor, how to support mom, and techniques for comfort measures. All of this info is needed for birth. It doesn't matter if you choose to birth at our birth center, at home, or at the hospital. All women must cope with discomfort at some point during labor, so this class is for anyone, whether they opt for an epidural or not. Birth 101 is offered every other month starting in Jan 2018, the first Saturday of each month from 1-4pm. Price is $50 per team. Teams include one expectant mom and her support person(s). Please make childcare arrangements. Only 1 ticket is needed per team.

Birth 201 is a refresher class, and is it filled with our best tips from BIRTH 101 and HOSP 101 plus some additional information on postpartum care & breastfeeding. Class from 1 - 4 pm. Babywearing 101 is the perfect opportunity to learn safe and proper carrying of babies from newborn to toddler. Although there are many different styles and brands of baby carriers, this class covers the very basics on the five different styles of baby carriers. It is designed to be an introduction to baby slings. Babywearing 101 is ideal for those who have never worn a baby and have little or no experience with carriers and even those who have worn their babies but may be looking for more education. We will discuss the different styles and explore your family's unique needs to help you discover the right carrier for you. Topics covered include; one-shoulder vs. two-shoulder carriers, respiration issues, spinal stress issues, correct carrying positions. Also, we will offer demonstrations of the different style of carriers: pouches, ring slings, Asian style carriers (or "mei tais"), soft-structured carriers ("buckle carriers"), stretchy wraps, woven wraps.
