Lenora Suite

The Lenora birth suite at the Wichita Falls Birth & Wellness Center is a beautifully designed space that combines comfort and elegance to provide a serene environment for birthing. Named in honor of the birth center’s original midwife, Lenora Nepper, who took a chance on a brand-new birth center in 2017, this suite pays homage to its roots and the historic building of the old birth center. The new birth center, which opened its doors in 2024, continues this legacy of care and commitment.

The suite features a spacious bedroom with a luxurious aesthetic, showcasing lacquered walls in a soothing blue color with detailed trim work that adds a touch of sophistication. One of the suite’s highlights is the oversized corner soaking tub situated in the bedroom. This specialty birthing tub provides a perfect spot for relaxation during labor, allowing clients to immerse themselves in warm water for comfort. The ceiling is adorned with a delicate, detailed floral patterned wallpaper helping to create a calming, meditative experience during labor.

Another standout feature is the beautiful stained glass window above the bed. This window, salvaged from the first consolidated mall in Pittsburgh dating back to the late 1800s, adds a unique and historic charm to the room. As the sun filters in through this window during the late afternoon and evening, it casts a beautiful glow, with colors of light spanning across the room, enhancing the tranquil and soothing atmosphere.

The suite also includes a cozy sitting area with a vintage touch, featuring an ornate wooden bed with plush bedding, and a fireplace that adds warmth and a homey feel. The fireplace mantle is a restored piece, carefully chosen to maintain the suite’s goal of blending old with new.

The bathroom is designed with hand-painted concrete floor tiles that add a touch of artisanal beauty to the space. It includes a walk-in shower with stunning blue tiles imported from Italy and a window allowing natural light to filter in, creating a refreshing and calming ambiance. There is a large vanity with a white countertop and brass fixtures, a gold-framed mirror that adds a touch of opulence, and a bidet toilet for added comfort and hygiene.

The overall design of the Lenora birth suite combines functionality with luxurious details, creating an ideal environment for a comfortable and memorable birthing experience while honoring the legacy of the original midwife and the charm of the historic old birth center.
